Pregnancy week 35: Moms, your baby is a big as a honeydew!

Dads, by now your bride is tired of being pregnant.  She can’t sleep at night because of a little person is kicking and her bladder is being squeezed like Mr. Whipple with a roll of Charmin.  It won’t be much longer for either of you, be thankful for the sleep you have now.  Here are some of the highlights from week 35 of pregnancy.

Sciatica is not a Jewish family in New York

Sciatica sounds like a Jewish family in a crowded neighborhood on the Upper East Side.  “Oh, the Sciatica’s, yeah, they’re great people, especially their boy Leonard” sounds like something one would hear when you talk about sciatica.  While the Sciatica’s in NYC may be a pain, it’s guaranteed that they’re nowhere close to the pain that your sciatica in your back will produce.

This summer I had some bad sciatica pain.  It’s an amazing pain that makes you unable to stand up and sends pulses of muscle spasms up and down your leg.  Mommy Mojo thought she has some sciatica pain recently.

Fortunately for you pregnant women, sciatica is one pain that you’re likely not to encounter during this period.  Only 1% of pregnant women encounter the bulging disc pain that is usually caused be a back injury.

Drop it like it’s hot

Ladies, if you’re tired of being short of breath and feeling like somebody is pressing up against your lungs this could be your week.  It’s possible that your special package will drop any day now.  When the baby drops you’ll be able to walk much easier and move around without being winded all the time.  Dads, if you thought that your wife was wheezing and short of breath because they weren’t getting enough exercise your may want to apologize now.

When the baby drops the pitch to your bell is evident, astute dads will notice and ask you if the baby dropped.

Attack of the cankles

“Arghh, my cankles are back” Mommy Mojo said the other day.

Did they ever leave?  No, to our observations the cankles, that blending of the calf and the ankle that pregnant women get, has never left.  It’s possible that with the baby dropping, constant pain, lack of sleep and how spacey you’ve been the past eight months you just didn’t notice.  It’s all good.

Week 36 of pregnancy is coming up very soon!  It’s the final countdown!!  This is a great song for your ‘push’ mix tape that we’ll talk about too.
