Madagascar Week in Atlanta

Madagascar themed activities around Atlanta this week

Welcome to Atlanta in the summer, the oppressive humidity says hello.  Madagascar 3 opens in theaters on June 8.  In advance of that there are several critter themed happenings around Buford, Lawrenceville and Suwanee that are fun for the family.

On Wednesday, May 30 it’s Skipper’s Penguin Pottery Day at The Painted Penguin in Buford at the Mall of Georgia.  You’ll be able to paint circus scenes on animal pottery.

  1. Atlanta, sure does seem to have a lot happening in the summer for  summer,  You mention in your blog that the humidity is oppressive, please tell me more as I was looking to take my family to Atlanta this August,  as an insider would you not recommend it?  or what would you say would be the very best time of year to come.  My kids and partner have not had a break for so long as we have been working incredibly hard over the past few years on our business, we were all looking forward to the tip very much, now I am a little concerned.

    1. It’s just hot in Atlanta, hotter than 10 hells actually.  More humid than hot, it really is the humidity, not the heat, true stereotype.  It’s a great city with lots happening, just be prepared for some heat.

  2. Madagascar 3 event at Skyzone Atlanta- screening passes will only be given to Skycampers!
