3 moms made the news for one reason or the other. Moms make the news all the time, but the fact that they are a mother rarely factors into that. These stories illustrate why moms are great. Well, the first 2 illustrate that fact, the third one is a desperate PR stunt by an entertainer.
Mom goes to her son’s hockey game and a fight breaks out. I’m just as shocked as you, a fight in a hockey game? In this particular case though the referees take a bit too long in breaking up the fight and a mom, whose son was not in the fight, walks out on the ice. She starts to yell at the referee to do his job. Her Mom mojo must have worked long distance because when she takes the ice the youths stop fighting.
I don’t know hockey. I can’t follow the puck and don’t understand the rules. Having said that, when a fight like this that breaks out in a youth hockey game it needs to broken up ASAP. Good for Mom for going out on the ice and telling the referee to control the game. Shame to the audience members who were yelling at her when was walking to and from the ice. Those Neanderthals hopefully aren’t parents, but I suspect they are.
Would a dad have gone out on the ice? I do not think so, but I don’t know the intricacies of hockey or being a parent to a child that old. However, I would hope that even in hockey, sportsmanship takes precedence over aggression, especially when the game involves 14 year olds.
Mom to a bully
A child who might, or might not be a bully is forced by his teachers to sit down while his class mates hit him. Mom finds out about it and gets angry.
The child had previously not been reported as being a bully. One of the teachers in this situation has been terminated and the other has been “reprimanded and re-educated”.
This is a great example of why I am a big fan of school vouchers. I want my tax dollars that pay for my child’s education to follow them, not the house where we live. Any teacher that needs to be sent off to be ‘re-educated’ doesn’t have the common sense to be a teacher in the first place.
I’m not a fan of lawsuits. However, in this case, this mom should sue the pants off of this school district, as they are ultimately responsible for the teachers.
MILFy celebrity idiot Mom
Ex-Singled Out hostess Jenny McCarthy accidently sends a naked photo to her to her son’s dentist. Her son, 10 years old, had an issue with his mouth, she was trying to take a photo and oops she accidently sent a naked one that she had in her phone.
She’s also got a Playboy photo shoot in an upcoming issue and she wanted to prove that “MILF’s are hot too”. Ms. McCarthy also uses “like” in her conversation, much the way a 15 year old would. “The dentist is, like, 80”, she said in the US Magazine article. My PR Spidey sense is telling me that this could be a fake stunt or it really happened and she needed a story involving nudity to relay it with pizzazz to Wendy Williams.
Assuming that it really happened, what is it with celebrities having naked pictures of themselves on their phone? At the intersection of celebrity and vanity there is a void where common sense dies and naked pictures are taken. You can be a hot, sexy parent, I’m all for that; but parading your idiocy and lack of common sense does not help your children.
In high school the idiot kids were quite often the more popular ones. That’s a pity because the overwhelming majority of those class clowns only succeeded in dumbing down their future due to short sightedness. In hindsight I wish I had been more of the high school geek (who studies and gets good grades) than the smart mouth who got laughs.
The first mom is a rock star. The second mom needs to lawyer up. The third mom needs to remember that she’s also a mom (in addition to a product) and that her actions reflect on her son.
