Marvel Creativity Studio Deluxe Stylus giveaway and review #Bpopevents

I still read comic books.  A friend of mine from college writes for a couple major comic books now and reading his material makes you realize that it is not easy to write good stories for that medium.  Drawing is an entirely different skill.  I’ve been able to doodle, but that’s it.  The Marvel pen won’t do much to improve my drawing abilities to where I’m on par with today’s comic book artists, but it is great fun to use.

The Marvel Creativity Studio Deluxe Stylus

The pen works in conjunction with an app that is free to download.  This pen is exclusive to ipads only, however, it works on all of the generations. With the pen you can go back and forth between the drawing styles, access stickers, increase/decrease the size of the brush or pen and much more.

Once in the app you choose between three templates, Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.  In each template there are three different areas that you can create your masterpiece.  You can simply color your hero.  You can draw, where you can (if you want to…) trace over something, then delete the lines that you traced over. In the third area you can assemble heroes and villains.

Hulk painted examples

Just look at my Hulk.  His right leg is done using the chisel, the left leg using chalk, his left hand using the hatch, the red dots under his feet using stipple the left torso using a laser, right hand using smoke and more.  See the red spider wed that I drew where Spider Man was trying to catch him? The fire behind him is where he just smashed some unsuspecting wisecracking alien.   There are dozens of ways to trick out and accessorize your art, even using stickers.

Click the top of the stylus and you can go between all of the different ways to paint, apply effects, chalk or however you want to do your superhero.

There is a learning curve with the Marvel Creativity Studio Deluxe Stylus.  Hint:  put the stylus on the tablet for a couple of seconds and then start drawing.  If you immediately start drawing, not giving the stylus and tablet a moment to bond your pen won’t be nearly as effective. It’s a very fun activity, even for adults like me and kids 5 and up will get the hang of it no problem.  Our 4 year old likes it, but hasn’t figured out all that the pen really can do. This giveaway is open to resident of the US and Canada.  Be sure to follow and enter all of the #bpopevents giveaways this week, there are some really amazing ones happening!
