Stouffer’s Fit Kitchen, saving time and being the balanced wingman meal #ad

This is a sponsored post with Stouffer’s Fit Kitchen and Life of Dad and we were compensated. All thoughts are our own. It’s good to cook. It’s a skill, teaches creativity, patience and has a payoff. Sometimes however, it’s good not to cook. Those are the days that you are too busy, have the house to yourself or just want something special. Enter Stouffer’s Fit Kitchen. They’re a new lineup of dinners that are yummy, jammed with wholesome foods and effortless to prepare and clean up is a breeze.

Stouffer’s Fit Kitchen, saving time and being the balanced wingman meal

For me it was a welcome thing to try the Stouffer’s Fit Kitchen Steak Fajita because I do most of the cooking in the house. I let my bride know that we’d be having Stouffer’s for dinner and she was OK with it. Normally she’s my wingman and she’s A-OK with that classification. But, on nights like this where I need dinner done, it was good to hang with Stouffer’s.

As I was putting the kids to bed the first thing I noticed about dinner was the smell. It smelled like a fresh cooked meal and the most difficult part in that night’s dinner was deciding who would eat what. Initially I thought that we would share, but we were both so hungry-and the meal was so tasty that conversation was kept to a minimum and the dinners were gone in short order.

Each meal has 25 grams or more of protein. That’s about 40% of the total amount of protein that you need each day.  It’s also packed with the carbs, veggies, (good) fat and fiber that you need to keep your mojo going strong.

My wife had the Cilantro Lime Chicken, which smelled yummy, but I didn’t get to try any. Bourbon Chicken, Monterey Chicken, Oven Roasted Chicken and Rotisserie Seasoned Turkey are the other options. The meal was great and really was that, a meal. It left just a little room left at the end of it so I didn’t feel bloated or could sneak in a desert if I wanted to. For the record, I didn’t.

Another plus of dinner that night was ease of access. We found it at our local Publix, but you can also dig it at Target or by checking out Stouffer’s.com.

Stouffers Fit Kitchen energy at the park

The day after dinner with our wingman (both of them) we went to the pool, the park and ran all over town. It’s suburban living at its finest and this is how we have power up in order to get all of it done. Falling asleep during story time isn’t an option, ya gotta push through to just after the third book and then head back to the fortress of solitude, relaxation, mancave or whatever you call it.

Bonus: there is a Life of Dad twitter party with Stouffer’s Fit Kitchen on Thursday, June 4 at 8PM ET. You can win up to $450 in prepaid gift cards. Just follow #FitKitchen from 8-9PM ET to win.
