Win tickets to Batman: The Killing Joke at Avalon on 7/25

A feature film that is rated R? Holy ghosts of Team America, please tell me more. Batman: The Killing Joke is an R rated film that will have a two night theatrical appearance via Fathom Events. The animation in Batman: The Killing Joke is similar to that which is used in Batman: The Animated Adventures. The Killing Joke earns its R rating and is not appropriate for children. However, fans of the graphic novel or a deep appreciation of the dark knight will relish seeing a Batman tale where the joker goes too far.

This giveaway is for a pair of passes to Batman: The Killing Joke on Monday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. It is rated R (have I mentioned that…?) for graphic violence, torture, brief nudity, a couple sexual references and some instances of bad language.

The Killing Joke is considered by many to be one of the best Batman tales. It’s also very dark, more emotional and personal than you expect from a graphic novel. This is the story The Joker and his intersection with Batman, how his evil came to be and the things he’ll do to ultimately make that come true.

This special showing of Batman: The Killing Joke features a special introduction from Mark Hamill, details on his casting and what the role means to him as an actor and a fan. The event will conclude with a special behind-the-scenes look at how the Joker’s memorable, yet disturbing song and dance number was recreated for the film.

This is all being done by Fathom Events, Warner Bros. and DC Comics who invite you to a premiere event when Batman: The Killing Joke comes to select cinemas nationwide for a special one-night event on Monday, July 25 and Tuesday July 26. This giveaway is for tickets to the show on July 25 at 7:30 at Regal Avalon in Alpharetta. However, the film is showing nationwide on this same days for this very brief theatrical run.
