Licensed PJ Masks backpacks and lunchboxes, for school and beyond

Hey-we’re a PJ Masks Ambassador and received payment or product for this post. When is a school backpack not a school backpack? When it turns into a bag. I never liked that Bazooka Joe joke, but, to be clear, that is our reiteration of the joke that reared its head this week.  Our kids went absolutely mental when they received the PJ Masks backpack and lunchbox. Per our kids sharing rule mantra, they got to pick one thing that would be theirs.

Our oldest chose the lunchbox and hasn’t looked back since then. He happily puts his food in there, except for Friday when he buys it, and goes to first grade. “My lunch box is in 3D daddy”, he says. He’s talking about the cover of the lunchbox that has Catboy, Owlette and Gekko on it in their PJ Masks attire. I also don’t point out to him that the lunchbox is already in 3D because we can touch it. Doing so in that manner would just be too much like Nick Cage in Valley Girl.

The youngest son really likes the backpack.  This is soft mesh backpack with two expandable pockets on the bottom for water bottles. The main back pouch is larger and has two zippers, while the slightly smaller front pouch has one zipper. During the school week it has his folder, lunch and snacks-or so we thought. As I picked up the PJ Masks backpack to write this I heard a distinct clanking noise and noticed that it was much heavier than it should be.

I opened the front pouch and found it stuffed with some of his toys. We check his backpack before he goes to school, so it’s impossible for him to be taking it to school like this.

He’s packing his school backpack with his toys once he gets home.

I don’t know why he’s doing this. Sometimes he takes on trip during the weekend, but not every time. At home he is very enthusiastic about his goodie bags. He’ll turn any rogue bag into something that has a menagerie of small presents and things that he’s collected. A rock, stick, pencil from a school fair or small toy are all fair game for the prize bags that he legitimately gives away to family members.

Of course, all of those items eventually come back here. The addition of his PJ Mask backpack is another wrinkle. We’ve accepted it as he just really loves his backpack and wants to corral his key toys into one central location that he can carry. Go on, into the night to save the day, young PJ Mask.
