January Mojo

It’s one of the coldest months of the year, unless you live down under, in which case it is still a very long month.  Make the most of it, plan ahead and some fun things, whether it’s the dead of winter or peak of summer.

January is National Eye Care  Month, as well as, Hot Tea Month.  See the eye doctor and if you’re looking for a fabulous tea, try one with Kava.  It’ll spike your creative juices and give you nice dreams about bunnies and kittens.

January 1  New Years Day.  Rest, chill and watch one of the meaningless bowl games.

January 3 is the Festival of Sleep Day.  Cue the Kava Tea, drink it an hour before you sleep and let the good dreams commence.

January 4 is the birthday of Sir Isaac Newton. Genius.

January 6 is Cuddle Up Day.  Snuggle, stay warm.  Really.

January 8 is the birthday of Elvis Presley

January 10 is Peculiar People Day. Yup, it’s a day just for the odd and the strange.

January 11 is Coming of Age Day in Japan. All young people who turn 20 years old are celebrated in this national holiday.  Japan is an AMAZING place to vacation. It’s more affordable, than you may think, especially if you eat in the grocery stores and rely on their amazing system of trains and buses.  It’s a safe bet that somebody around you will speak English too, so don’t let that scare you away.

January 12 is Work Harder Day.  No whining, suck it up and take it.

January 13 is Rubber Duckie’s Birthday.  Kids everywhere rejoice!

January 14 is National Dress your Pet Day.

January 17 is MLK Day.  It’s a day to out, not a day off.  Loads of community service project out there.

January 18 is Winnie the Pooh Day.  Everybody loves this day, except for for Eyeore….

January 20 is Penguin Awareness Day.  Don’t tell the seals, sharks or killer whales.

January 21 is Hat Day.  Have a hat party, it’s great fun and gets people talking.

January 21 is Squirrel Appreciation Day.  Don’t tell the cars or dogs in the back yard though.

January 24 is Compliment Day.  Did you lose weight?  That sweater looks amazing on you!!

January 26 is Australia Day.  Sydney was settled on this day 1778 by some thief with a very cool accent.
