June Mojo
It’s the first month of Summer! By now you should’ve reserved their time at camp, trip to the mountains or arranged for that week at the beach. If you’re staying at home there is a day for everything, make the most of these special days that are created by greeting cards, specialty foods or emotions.
June 1 is Dare Day. Challenge yourself, dare yourself to be great yada yada…
June 2 is National Bubba Day. A day just for folks who call themself A Bubba, yeehowdy.
June 2 is National Rocky Road Day. It’s a day just to eat Rocky Road ice cream, somewhere vanilla and chocolate are fighting as they missed out on this marketing blitz.
June 4 is National Hug Your Cat Day. Some folks also say Hug Your Cat Day is May 28…regardless, hug your cat.
June 4 is National Doughnut Day. Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Doughnuts are both giving away doughnuts on this day. Double dip and plan your trips accordingly.
June 5 is World Environment Day. It’s decreed as such by our pals at the U.N.
June 6 is National Gardening Exercise Day. We love to garden at our house and it is great exercise.
June 7 is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day. Apparently Rocky Road let the word out and Chocolate got the memo. New Orleans will indeed be very happy today.
June 10 is National Iced Tea Day. If you don’t like your iced tea with a hint of lemon in it you just aren’t right…
Flag Day is June 14th. A good summer day is just fabulous to fly the flag eh?
Every June 17th is Eat Your Vegetables Day. Ranch dressing is just happy to be associated with them.
June 18 is Go Fishing Day. Kids LOVE to go fishing, take em and make a weekend out of it.
June 19th is Juneteenth Day. While it sounds like a joke, it’s actually a day that commemorates the end of slavery.
June 21th is Father’s Day. Take the day off, sleep in the back yard, read a book…repeat.
June 21 is the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year! Cook out, drink some beer, repeat.
June 22 is National Chocolate Eclair Day. Go see you local baker or pastry chef, like you need a special day to do that.
June 23 is National Columnist Day. Newspapers are really having a tough time, write a columnist, let em know that they still motivate you.
June 29 is National Hug Day, but be careful; it’s a litigious world we live in.
June is National Safety Month. Make a bag of emergency supplies in case of flooding, hurricane, etc.
