I’m dreaming of an LG Studio Kitchen at Best Buy, come see why

The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free. It’s probably a coincidence, but we’re new kitchen shopping. Our house was built in the mid 80’s and the appliances were new to it in the mid 90’s. If I touch our dishwasher for long enough I can channel Faith by George Michael. Then I start wondering about Andrew Ridgeley, I’ll text my wife about the funny scene from Music and Lyrics (the whole movie basically) and bam, dinner is over cooked and the dishwasher needs to be cycled. It’s a scene from the island of lost kitchens, which is right next to the island of lost toys, and is quite relevant this time of year. We got to experience a new LG kitchen from Best Buy and I think our current kitchen was trying to tell me something because my dishwasher just told me that WHAM! broke up.

These are the three items at Best Buy that you need to save money #ad

We were compensated for this post. All thoughts are our own and we really do like faster downloads, streaming TV, saving money and watching live TV. My wife and I are a great team and we each know our role. She’s the type that is less likely to start something while I’m the one that is less likely to complete a project. Know your role. Knowing that about us, I just completed three tasks from start to finish that will save the family money, entertain us more, frustrate us less and it all took less than one hour to accomplish. We installed a Nest Learning Thermostat, Netgear Nighthawk DST Router with DST Adapter and Sling TV; all from Best Buy, with each one doing amazing things.

Best Buy is the hot spot for the undead this Halloween pranking #ad

Technology, meet Halloween, Halloween this is technology; now let’s have this conversation in our house. Of course, Best Buy has a seat here too.  Star Wars, or at least a licensed toy from the latest movie are also talking at the table-and it’s all done in the name of good natured fun, simple to accomplish Halloween pranks that you can do around the house.

This is our go-to Homegating grub, creature comforts from HH Gregg

The game. It could be the game for the college that you never graduated from, your adopted school, alma matter or you live in an area that is rampant with Saturday or Sunday afternoon anthropomorphic neighbors on the way to the stadium. Maybe it’s an ice rink or a dusty track in the country where horses with clever names do their best Jeff Gordon impression.  Homegating can solve your woes. It’s about staying at home, entertaining with great food and the best tech that can put you right into the game. HH Gregg is giving away $5,000 to make your fan cave complete, so that you can homegate with the best of them.

Robot boxing in our #ManCave, our wish list item at Best Buy

We’ve been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free. Have you seen Real Steel? It a Hugh Jackman film from 2011 about robot boxing. It’s a fabulous film that my wife even liked, it’s not that she’s a movie snob, she just went in with low expectations-partially due to my constant raving about it. In my ideal man cave I would have a robot boxing ring like this vision of robotic wresting on the Best Buy site.

Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader board game review

Hey there, we received a copy of the game for review purposes, all thoughts are our own. My wife and I have game night in the house. Sometimes it’s chess, really, occasionally we’ll play chess, it’s not just some snooty thing I’m saying to increase my SAT score. Recently we played the Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader board game. While it took us a couple of games to find our footing, it’s a fun game that anyone eight and older can play with ease and enjoy.

Ziploc® brand bags with Easy Open Tabs – great for cookies, cards, figurines and more #ZiplocBackToSchool #Ad

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine and part of #ZiplocBackToSchool #CollectiveBias.

The air in the house is giddy. The children are excited to start school; we’re pumped for a couple of reasons, not the least of which is life getting back to a schedule of sorts. We’ve done the back-to-school shopping. Even for kids going into preschool and kindergarten there are lots of things to purchase at our local Kroger. One item that was on our list was Ziploc® brand bags with Easy Open Tabs; but not just for the purposes of school lunches, although we did get some specifically for a new cookie recipe we created.

When you have lots of small pieces to something the box will invariably get crushed or disappear. Our youngest child loves cards and that is A-OK with us because they are a fabulous learning tool. He tries to open card decks that are brand new just to make a mess out of them. For him it’s akin to opening a new book just to get that ‘new book’ smell. Win a $25 gift card to spend at ALDI

Recently we wrote about the new extensive beer selection on sale at ALDI.  Recap: they’re awesome. Now we’re giving away a $25 gift card to ALDI. You can use it however you would like-and if you haven’t shopped there it will go a long way. We go there every week and spend around $30. That amount takes us most of the way through the week for a family of four for the basic food needs. OK, add some of their new beers and the tally goes up, but you get the picture.
