If you’re into video game luminaries like Mario, Donkey Kong and Pokémon, the three-month Play NintendoTour 2014 is for you. It showcases Nintendo’s latest hand-held system in a gaming playground for kids of all ages. Traveling to a dozen major U.S. cities, this free event will showcase the hottest Nintendo games on the Nintendo 2DS. The Nintendo Tour 2014 is stopping in Atlanta at the Mall of Georgia from August 15-17.
Portable games scheduled for the tour include:
- Kirby: Triple Deluxe
- Yoshi’s New Island
- Pokémon X and Pokémon Y
- The Legend of Zelda
- Super Mario 3D Landlda: A Link Between Worlds
- Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
- Mario Kart 7
Nintendo 2DS and the Play NintendoTour 2014 are a nice pair for summer fun whether you’re a kid, a teen or a young-at-heart adult.Nintendo 2DS offers kids and anyone new to gaming a great first-time system, and the tour events offer everyone an exciting opportunity to play together.
Guests will enjoy whimsical-themed gaming zones filled with iconicitems like banana-shaped seats in the Donkey Kong area, a giant Poké Ball in the Pokémon section and Yoshi egg chairs in Yoshi’s island. Attendees will also have the chance to meet costumed characters Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong and Kirby. Radio Disney will also be at the events, featuring the Radio Disney Road Crew and prize giveaways (while supplies last).
Racers can satisfy their need for speed in the Mario Kart racing area, where their skills will be put to the test on Mario Kart 7 in qualifying rounds. Winningdrivers advance and will beeligible to move up to the main stage to show off their racing skills on a giant TV screen featuring the new high-definition, anti-gravity racing game for Wii U: Mario Kart 8, which launched May 30.
