Super League Gaming brings in-theater group Minecraft to Atlanta

This is a sponsored post. All thoughts are our own and this really sound like a block building, tree chopping good time. As a dad and casual gamer there is a lot to love about that headline. I know that when our kids are older they’ll be into video games and most likely Minecraft. Super League Gaming has partnered with the nation’s three largest movie theater chains, Regal Entertainment Group, AMC Theaters and Cinemark Theaters to a screen that’s much bigger than your computer-or even your television! In this case they’re playing Minecraft in the movie theater and the tour is coming to Atlanta July 20-22 at five different locations.

Minecraft is as much of a toy as it is a video game. It’s creative, can be all ages or take on more advanced levels where life and death. Because of that, Minecraft is OK for any age-as long as they can play the game, build the things and cut down the tree to get things started. Ditto the game that you’ll experience at Super League Gaming. This is OK for any age, as long as they can play the game. If your little Minecrafter has an issue during the game period there are some folks from the Action Squad team that can assist them.

Minecraft is coming to Atlanta on July 20 at AMC Bartlett 24 in Kennesaw and Regal Medlock Crossing Stadium 18 in Duluth. On July 21 it’s coming to AMC Phipps Plaza 24 in Atlanta and Regal Snellville Oaks Stadium in Snellville. It’s also playing at AMC Southlake 24 in Morrow on the 22nd of July. All gaming times are 4:00-5:40.

All you need to do in order to participate is purchase your ticket which is $20 and bring your fully charged computer to the movie theater that you’ll be participating with.  Be sure to have Minecraft 1.8 or higher on the computer and test that it works before you go.

There is a comprehensive list of questions and answers on their website.

The experience is a mix of builder battle, construction and big screen arena mayhem.  In addition to Atlanta they’ll be going to Chicago, Denver, Salt Lake City, Boston and many others. To dig where else they’re going or to get tickets just check out the link.

The event also gets bonus points that Super League Gaming was founded by a group of dads. They created the event to show that gaming is a fun, interactive experience once you combined the in-person competition element to it.
