Do you know a veteran of The Korean War?

Veterans of The Forgotten War as it’s sometimes called are on average 81 years old.  Do you know any men or women that served in The Korean War? A website has been set up to help take down any stories and honor the sacrifices that they made.

Veterans need your help by posting the news of a National Commemoration Ceremony and a series of events across the country in recognition of the upcoming 60th anniversary of the Armistice, which ended the Korean War. More than 33,000 Americans were killed in the Korean War,over100,000 were wounded and more than 7,000 are still missing in action.

The Department of Defense 60TH Anniversary Committee has organized a National Commemoration Ceremony with national leaders, veterans and their families on July 27 in Washington, D.C. That same day, there will also be hundreds of VFW Post “Pancakes for Patriots” viewing parties for those veterans and their families who couldn’t make it to Washington, D.C., but need to see and hear the event to be thanked and honored for their service.

Please cross post information to raise awareness of the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice and the National Commemoration Event on July 27 in Wash, D.C.

Have Korean War Veterans visit the site and share their stories so that future generations can remember their courage.    You can also visit their Facebook page, see other stories that have been submitted and request at DOD certificate of appreciation for a veteran or the family of a veteran.
