For our oldest son’s Halloween party at school we were responsible for the drinks, cookies and music. I asked my wife if she had Thriller on the MP3 player. Thriller is a lot of parent’s default Halloween music, more for the memories of the video than the music itself. It was then when I was about to dust off my moonwalk shoes that I found about a family friendly free Halloween music for kids playlist that Disney put out.
It’s packed with 20 songs ranging from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Disney Villains, Mickey Mouse-Halloween Songs & Sounds, some creepy sound effects and one song from Frankenweenie. It’s more atmospheric than straight out scary with loud yells and scream, something that just wouldn’t mesh with a party for a 4 year old.
Being a big fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas I’m partial to those songs and could truthfully play the entire release, but this party is for the kids. The list is free, if you’re on Rdio listen for free, purchase if you want or just hit play below. Spook on scary people.
