The X-Men Apocalypse trailer is out. Amidst the hubbub of superheroes fighting superheroes this spring comes one of the first team efforts to fight baddies. X-Men Apocalypse was a hugely popular story in the comic books in the mid 90’s. It’s also the backbone for the latest film in the franchise by the same name.
As a fan what is refreshing about this story is that it’s not the forced story of good superhero vs. good superhero. The film has a villain, a true big baddie who has traveled time and is seemingly unbeatable. The trailer for X-Men Apocalypse has the big budget effect pieces, end of world landmarks and super powers, including a fan favorite at the very end.
X-Men Apocalypse opens May 27, 2016 and is rated PG-13.
