Win a pair of passes to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in Atlanta

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse flew under my radar until I saw the trailer. It looks like no other film I’ve seen. At times it looks anime-ish, sometimes like a moving painting, motion capture and at other times like a traditional animated movie. An outstanding aside to its technical visuals is that kids really want to see it. Our 9 year old has been clamoring about it for the past couple of week. The prescient youth was correct and people are calling Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse the best animated film of the year. We’re giving away passes to the Atlanta sneak preview of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. It’s Saturday, December 8 at 11:00AM.Spider man, spider-man, spider-man into the spider-verse, spiderman into the spiderverse, spiderverse, spider verse, sneak preview

To register to win one of these passes just RT this or shoot us an email to: trey@daddymojo.net. This is a really quick turn time on the giveaway. We’ll cut off entries Friday night, December 7 at 6PM and I’ll email people the codes, website to get tickets from and detailed specifics about the showing.

The film is rated PG and we’re taking the entire family to check it out. In doing research into the film’s look I discovered this piece of video that describes a little bit about how it was made and why it looks so different. A quick look at the trailer will send Spider-Man and Sam Raimi fans over the moon as it acknowledges those first Spider-Man movies. It also lets people know that they know the Spider-Man story with Peter Parker and that this is not that story.

As a fan of Spider-Man since the mid-70s I get it. This is one superhero that is easily accessible to younger audiences. After all, Peter Parker is a teen-ager. Granted in some incarnations he’s a late teen, in college or some amorphous high school, but he’s a character that kids can relate to. He’s nervous around girls, wants to do the right thing and is asked too many questions by his family. Any kid who is older than 7 can relate to that. On surface, that is what makes Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse so perfect.

Miles Morales is even younger than Peter Parker. Toss in Gwen Stacy and her appearance in the film, as well as many other versions of Spider-Man in their respective universe as a PG film and you’ve got something that the entire family can get behind. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse arrives in movie theaters on December 14, 2018.
