Regular Show Mordecai Pack on DVD, out now and very funny

Cartoon Network has so many shows that hit ages 6 and up.  The leading edge and most popular show is Adventure Time.  Our favorite show in their lineup is Regular Show.  It’s as manic, strange and creative, but is grounded in reality just a little bit.  Really, it’s the story of Mordecai a blue jay, Rigby a raccoon who take care of the park with their friends who are even stranger, so take ‘grounded in reality’ with a grain of salt.  It happens on Earth, but each episode balances friendship, alternate realities, work and more in a creative mash-up that makes you laugh, even if you’re (much) older than their intended demographic.

The Sandbox is a must visit for families at Hilton Head Island

When your family goes on vacation there are guaranteed to be a day or two out of the week that need something.  It could be too hot, too cold, bad weather or maybe the kids just need a day inside, but not inside the beach place that you’re renting.  On Hilton Head Island you have The Sandbox, an interactive children’s museum that far exceeds expectations that you have of a resort children’s museum.

Chuck is back with a new DVD.  This is Chuck & Friends, the kid friendly truck with his worker friends and a Tonka by another name to parents of a certain age. The Adventures of Chuck & Friends: Rev Your Engines has 10 episodes and a bonus sing-along.  Our kids are 5 and 3 and this is the sweet spot for the show.

For storage or showing off, PrimeTime Lockers from GarageWorks has game #Ad

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Gladiator® GarageWorks for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Gladiator® GarageWorks and their PrimeTime Lockers are lockers, but they’re so much nicer than those that I remember from when I went to school.  Granted I was a skinny teen then, but I think it’s much more than age.  These are cool lockers.  I see GarageWorks in the title and I think that this locker is too nice for our garage in its current condition.  I either need to clean the garage or keep our UGA PrimeTime Locker in the office.

Children’s music and the Christmas music test

When we first thought about children’s music it was a pan flute performed by dinosaurs with sing-songy lyrics about sharing.  Certainly some children’s music gleefully and willingly falls into that description.  However, there are many more choices than those that you just thought of.  Some children’s music pass the Christmas music test and some don’t.   Here’s what you need to pay attention to and why the Christmas music test might apply to you.

The state of Daddy Mojo and what to expect from us

First off, thanks for being here.  Like the classic song from Expose, Seasons Change, I wanted to loop you in on what to expect from Daddy Mojo. The site has evolved since our rambling travel stories and confused child questions when we weren’t sure how to change a diaper.  Now that our kids are older we’ll still write (and review) about baby products, parenting tips, poop culture and more.  However, a couple new categories have entered the fray that warrants some explanation.

The Terrible Two is friend based prank fun reading

It’s important to point out that the title of the book is The Terrible Two and not the more commonly written “terrible twos”.  This is a book about the pranks, friendship, competition, nepotism and cows.  It’s an unlikely combination but it all works out in the end for this very enjoyable book that young readers (especially boys) will relate to and laugh at throughout.

Kicking it with King Julian, Iron Monkey and more #StreamTeam

Hey, hey, we’re part of the #StreamTeam over at Netflix and were compensated for this post. All thoughts are our own.  I’ve never been too big on New Year’s Eve.   I’m even less of a fan now that I have a 3 and 5 year old alarm clock that wake us up every day at 6:30.  Netflix is helping parents on several fronts, one of them being a flexible New Years Eve countdown with Kind Julian and I’m highlighting some great things that you can stream now on Netflix.
