The Aviators is based on a true story about pigeons in World War I. I assume that the true story was from the perspective of humans and that they made the movie from the pigeon’s perspective, because it would be entertaining for children. If that were the case then this could’ve been it, but this version of The Aviators feels like a TV movie that stretches out to a very long 73 minutes.

Studio Ghibli is synonymous with anime. Mention a well known anime film and Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli are most likely behind it. The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness is a documentary about a year behind the scenes at the studio that coincidentally happened to coincide with the production of Miyazaki’s final film, The Wind Rises.

7 years ago my wife and I spent a great New Year’s Eve night in watching movies. We were renovating a house and sat on the sofa with stuff piled up all around us, watched various Bruce Lee movies and stayed under the blankets. It was awesome and with prime, cold weather movie time is just around the corner this $25 in M-GO credit is just the ticket for any and everyone.

We love our movies. Because we have younger children it’s rarer for them to get to the theaters and actually see good movies. Granted, they’ll go to the movie theater maybe a dozen times a year, but rare is the instance where we enjoy the movie as much as they do. Big Hero 6 is the best movie that fits that category that we’ve seen this year. Here’s a video reaction from our somewhat camera shy son about Big Hero 6.

Now fans and collectors can complete the white hat look with their own Finn backpack. It’s included in Finn the Human, the latest compilation from Adventure Time. With a happy grin when I checked out the ‘Recently Added’ movies on Netflix to see that Galaxy Quest was put up. It’s been 14 years since I saw it last, remembered how much I loved it and wanted to see how it held up in the first decade of the new millennium. Both of our children are too young to appreciate the film so I planted myself on the sofa and was relieved to find out that Galaxy Quest hasn’t aged too much. If you haven’t seen Galaxy Quest here are 5 simple reasons why it’s one of the best comedies or science fiction movies on Netflix now.
