Daddy Mojo reviews: Febreeze Set & Refresh

In a kitchen drawer we have several air fresheners that you plug into an electrical outlet.  We also have a couple of the free standing ones that look like a white 4” traffic cone.   The ones that required an outlet were too obvious or obstructed the outlet; while the free standing ones lost their scent and needed to be thrown away, oops.

A house with two dogs, two cats, a toddler, a dad and mom has multiple opportunities to not smell as fresh as needed.  The Mojo house was quite pleased when we got the chance to review Febreeze Set & Refresh.  Smelly things have no mojo and that includes a house.

The first thing we noticed about the new Febreeze Set & Refresh is its modern shape.  It’s a free standing air freshener, so it doesn’t need an electrical outlet, which also means that it’s free to move from room to room.  The shape of the air freshener is sublime, barely noticeable and lightweight.

The cartridges fit snugly into the unit and slowly release the oil over a 30 day period.   We have Linen & Sky scent in ours.  It’s a soft, barely there scent that smells like clean laundry.  You can choose from a wide variety of scents that range from Natural, Floral, Exotic, Fruity & Refreshing and Fresh & Clean.  Any of these will make your bride happy and get rid of those non-fresh areas.*

The room that smells the most non-fresh on a consistent basis, is our bathroom.  I put the Febreeze Set & Refresh in the bathroom and it does the trick, without taking up an outlet.  Because the unit is portable I could move it to where the smell was the most non-fresh.**

The Febreeze Set & Refresh did a great job in making the bathroom smell fresher.  But the bathroom is a small room with doors, how does the unit do in a larger room with no doors?

Conveniently, we were having a party at our house.  Mommy Mojo is 8 months pregnant so I was put in charge of cleaning the house.  I vacuumed the carpets, put wood polish on table and mopped the kitchen.  I then realized that Bait Car was on T.V. and fell  asleep for an hour. ***

Febreeze Set & Refresh defeats cat litter (and food) odor

I moved the Febreeze Set & Refresh to the dining room, hid it behind something and started cooking dinner.  My wife said that I did an amazing job cleaning, which I did, but I had some scented help.  I also put the Febreeze Set & Release near the litter box in the laundry room.  The cats could still find the litter box, but it wasn’t because it smelled funny.

Febreeze Set & Refresh is a simple, effective air freshener that doesn’t use batteries or electricity.   It also looks classy and is easily hidden for those times when you need the air freshener to work without people seeing it.

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Dad Central Consulting on behalf of Febreze and received a Set & Refresh unit plus refills to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate

*Dads, “non-fresh” is another way to say, “smells bad”.  However, if you say that your bathroom “smells bad” and you’re a stay at home dad, then you’ll be asked to clean it more often.

**For the record, that is usually my side of the bathroom.

***True story.
