Boudreaux’s Butt Paste stops diaper rash cold

I partnered with Life of Dad and Boudreaux’s Butt Paste® for this campaign, but all opinions are my own. Expectations and milestones. These are things that parents and DIY homeowners will toast with equal celebration and dread.  When you first move into a house it’s no big to paint a room. Fast forward a couple of years and that room begets a tree that need chopping down, dry wall that has to be patched and a lawn that needs to be mowed every week for nine months. The milestones for a child are different. Boudreaux’s Butt Paste® can be key to knocking down a big one for children, diaper rash.

The power of vacations and imperfect children #UniteMonday #ad

We partnered with Similac and were compensated for this post. All thoughts are our own. Our vacation just ended. It was an awesome experience at the beach where our kids learned to swim, mom and dad had a chance to relax and everyone’s diet went south, especially the children’s. By diet, I mean the food that they eat. At every corner it seemed that there was an ice cream store. To that end it’s time for a group hug, (albeit just a big larger than when we left) and say that it’s OK to bend the parenting rules from time to time.

As part of the #MoDSquad for Father’s Day, this is what #Imbornto

We were compensated for this post. All thoughts are our own and really, this organization is so easy to support. Read the later hashtag again, except this time, say it aloud.  #Imbornto, that’s a heavy line isn’t it?  It kind of reminds you of the last line Tom Hanks said in Saving Private Ryan. For the record it was “Earn this” and for me it was more motivational than sad. March of Dimes has partnered with The Motherhood this Father’s Day to spread awareness, raise some money this Father’s Day season and be thankful.

Sabor! from Whistlefritz continue to be Spanish language that our kids love

“Play the singing one!” is a rallying cry I hear from the back seat at least once a day.  “The singing one” is what our oldest son calls the recent Spanish language CD, Sabor! by Whistlefritz.   Whenever I feign ignorance of the CD he is quick to prompt me by saying, ‘you know the one with the panda and mouse on it’.  It’s good when your toddler is so specific, isn’t it?  We’re big fans of Whistlefritz and the way they present foreign languages.  The songs are kid-catchy, have lots of choruses that repeat and all of the vocabulary is in the liner notes.

Buzzworthy Baby custom art giveaway with #BlogPop

Last year I reviewed  a really unique product called Buzzworthy Baby.  It’s a custom made print designed to celebrate your baby and family that can be done on print, canvas or on framed wall art.   The folks at Buzzworthy Baby were kind enough to donate one print as part of #BlogPop.  If you have a new baby this is one keepsake that you’ll keep forever-and it ages very well.

The Baby Neptune Ocean Orchestra: great sound, interactive and fun

As I mentioned, we love Baby Eisnstein.  We had an earlier version of the Baby Neptune Ocean Orchestra when our oldest was just a baby.  While the toy was fun and played some nice classical music, it wasn’t anything remarkable.  “How much could they really improve a device?”, I thought before I opened this up.  This toy is cool, the sound is crisp and the lights are vivid.

The Metra diaper bag from JJ Cole Collections review

You know you’re in for some quality when a diaper bag is part of a collection.  The Metra diaper bag from JJ Cole Collection is all quality, packed with pockets and has a long enough strap to easily slip over your head and around your shoulder.  That’s the way cool dads wear the diaper bag.  It looks like they’re a bike messenger except you’re delivering diapers, wipes or snacks for irritated small people.

The Joovy CocoonX2 Double Stroller is the only one you need with two kids

When you have more than one small child who needs a stroller it gets complicated.   When your youngest child is old enough to not be in a car seat while in the stroller your options open up dramatically.   Do you get a jogger stroller, regular stroller or a bike trailer that you can put your little people into?   The Joovy CocoonX2 Double Stroller is all of those types of strollers in one-and it does them all very well.
