Do You Know Rocket Science?, go-to, fun STEM for pre-k

From its title, Do You Know Rocket Science? could be confused with something from the What Is or Who Was from the Who HQ authored series of books. While that series is awesome, they’re for older readers, which is somewhat ironic given the subject matter of rocket science. Instead, Do You Know Rocket Science? is actually a book about rocket science, that’s presented on a level that pre-k through first, as well as, their parents, will understand and enjoy. It’s from Chris Ferrie, an author who we’ve written about on a couple of occasions that has a knack for turning science and STEM into something that kids want to know about.

Do You Know Rocket Science? is a Level 1 book for beginning readers that sets up a potentially complex idea in a manner that ages four through six will enjoy.
It’s OK if you and the young reader learn this together

Alilo is an interactive, story and music gadget for crawlers to toddlers

Find someone who has never seen anything Japanese looking.  You know what I mean.  Certain products from Japan have a look.  Alilo has that look.  I see Alilo and it is kawaii incarnate.  Alilo is a simple device that can entertain crawlers and toddlers in a variety of ways.  It plays music, tells stories, sings nursery rhymes and can record personal messages from you.

Happy Birthday Barney new to video on April 15

Barney to 20 and 30 something’s is the guy from HIMYM, closely followed by everyone’s favorite purple dinosaur. You say Barney to me and other parents and I say dinosaur, closely followed by please, may I and thank you.   He’s the tall friendly dino that kids 1-4 love to watch and that parents don’t mind because of the positive lessons he teaches.  His latest video release, Happy Birthday Barney is new in stores on April 15.

The Fisher-Price Octonauts Octopod Playset provides hours of free play fun

Prior to receiving the Octonauts Octopod Playset to review we hadn’t seen the show.  I was aware of it, but hadn’t seen an episode of it.  Since our oldest has been playing with the Octonauts Octopod Playset he’s been sounding the Octo Alert, rescuing various sea critters and wondering why this show isn’t available on Roku.   Parents who are down with the Octonauts know what I’m speaking about the others will discover it when their child is about 3 or 4.

Our family lessons learned between the first and second child

Our youngest will turn 2 years old in a couple of months.  The cliché that the time flies by is every so true.  You can’t believe they were ever that small and so forth.  The bending of time that happens after the second child is born is quick, you blink and suddenly they’re 2 years old.  If I could talk to myself a couple of months before our second child arrived here is a list of things that I would suggest. The BMW Maclaren Buggy review
