Children's book reviews, all age comic books, Kidlit, mglit, movies, entertainment and parenting
7 years ago my wife and I spent a great New Year’s Eve night in watching movies. We were renovating a house and sat on the sofa with stuff piled up all around us, watched various Bruce Lee movies and stayed under the blankets. It was awesome and with prime, cold weather movie time is just around the corner this $25 in M-GO credit is just the ticket for any and everyone.

Twas the day before Christmas and all through the (comic book) store, a couple of creatures were stirring to tempt young readers galore. Because it’s a semi-holiday comic book stores will have abbreviated hours. All age comic books make great stocking stuffers. Their price point will be $2.99 or $3.99 and can entertain a child for hours. Another bonus about lots of the all age comic books out today is that many of them are equally appealing to boys, as well as, girls.
We’re really looking forward to Super Dinosaur, Adventure Time and Batman 66’. A curious look will be given to Capture Creatures to see if it has more creatures or action than the first issue too. Oh, we prematurely put McBain, the one-shot, out last week. It comes out today, now say it in your best McBain accent.
Adventure Time #35
Amazing World of Gumball #6
Batman 66 #18
Bee and Poppycat #7
Capture Creatures #2
McBain #1
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic #26
Penguins of Madagascar #2 (of #4)
Sonic Universe #71
Super Dinosaur #23
There is this new all age comic book called “Peanuts”. It’s the story of a group of kids, a friendly dog who thinks that he’s a fighter pilot and a curious yellow bird named after a 60’s rock concert. Of course you’ve heard of Peanuts before, it’s a 60 year old comic strip that’s been made into holiday specials, numerous book and is classic. What is surprising is how well-and effective the new stories in the Peanuts comic book are for new readers or old school fans.

It gave me the chance to chronicle my trips and travels. Today’s new cameras make me thankful for the images I was able to capture and let’s my mind wander about the prospects of me travelling with a high quality digital camera. There are lots of cameras at Best Buy, but they’ve got some storming deals on three of them in particular now; all of which I’ve played with and one that I own and use every day. Plus all three are equipped with built in WI-FI.

Three seemingly unconnected things are at the T junction of parenting and/or holidays. It’s also at the intersection of fun, regardless of if you have kids or not J. You drive, you listen to music and you play games. XBOX One, the JBL Flip 2 and the Tom Tom Go 50s are all things that you need (or really want) and right now Best Buy is sleighing the season with deals.

I have partnered and was compensated by Life of Dad, LLC and TuneIn for this promotion I’m kind of a radio snob. I worked in radio for many years and am thankful that I don’t work there anymore. Pick a style of music, any music and it repeats and repeats-every 4-5 hours with a key couple of songs. I love most forms of music too, but my ears crave new sounds. To make matters more challenging I’m a music worker and am more productive when music is in the background. TuneIn is the app that brings me back to radio, makes me thankful for aspects of it and allows me to travel the world from my smart phone.

When we arrived at the party I saw lots of scars. Through the eye holes in my costume I could see that the scars on their heads were jagged, others straight and all of them varied in length. Some of the patients needed help walking, others danced into the room and others used crutches or wheelchairs to make their way. When our contact met us during the #RandomActsofBooing she told us about this event, but was hesitant on the details for a reason I now understood.

Save as in save memories and save money, both are things that parents want to do. We’re talking about the Cannon EOS Rebel T5i, I know, it just sounds like it should be starring with Arnold Schwarzennegar in the latest robot movie. In real life it’s one of the simplest ways for you to shoot HD video and 18.0 megapixel photos like a pro.
