An aunt and 3 fans review One Direction: This Is Us

I’m honest. If I wasn’t driving my nieces – ages 8, 10 and 12 – to the movie, I wouldn’t have gone. I don’t have anything against One Direction (I was a fan of NKOTB in 6th grade too!) but I’m in my twenties now (read: 37). However, seeing my nieces see One Direction: This Is Us was a lot of fun. Of long marriages, Charles Schultz, Peanuts and forgotten MLK quotes

You may have heard about the really sweet story from Ohio this past week.  An elderly couple, married for 65 years died within 11 hours of each other.  Harold Knapke was 91 and his wife, Ruth was 89.  They raised six children and they saw their closeness in passing as ‘a final act of love’.   Whenever I hear stories like that I’m reminded of Charles Schultz, Peanuts and a not so famous quote from MLK. Does being a full time child caregiver exempt you from jury duty?

It’s the dreaded piece of mail that people received once every couple of years; the jury summons.  Like death and taxes, the jury summons will be issued to everyone (in the U.S.) at some point in life.  I saw the big X that meant I was on standby, called the number the night before I was supposed to serve and got an exemption-or did I? So, Ben Affleck is Batman.  Outrage, shock, reason, pity and acceptance, it was the 5 stages of actor casting that geeks and fans go through.  However, after thinking about it for a bit, I have hope, a new hope to spark images of another franchise that will announce casting news very soon.  Don’t panic over Ben Affleck as Batman here’s why. Back to school, save some dosh with #KmartBackToSchool #Ad

This is a sponsored post. I am a Kmart blogger, though all opinions are my own-especially the jokes, which may, or may not be funny.  Our kids are only 2 and 4, but they’re headed back to school.  Well pre-school to be 100% accurate and one is headed back, while the other one is headed there for the first time.  Regardless, I’m looking forward to it and they’re probably pretty excited too. I joke, a little bit.  Even if school were old hat to them I still want to save money and know that I can do it at Kmart.  Continue reading Back to school, save some dosh with #KmartBackToSchool #Ad

The Avengers 18: Infinity is a massive, entertaining storyline

Marvel Comics just started the Infinity storyline.  Essentially, most of the Marvel superheroes are in outer space with literally every living being.  An evil alliance called The Builders has been created and is destroying worlds.  In The Avengers 18, Earth’s superheroes suit up, team with a couple of The Builder and try to crack some heads.
