As all families do, we want to save money. The phone, internet and television, had all been on one provider. However, we didn’t watch enough television to merit the full package nor use the landline enough for the cost. Continue reading netTALK Duo WiFi review: it may save money…. when it works
All Through My Town is the go-to children’s book in the house now
I love to read. 3YO Mojo likes to read too. In a perfect world I’d have enough time to have a site devoted exclusively to comic and children’s books. I state that to preface the fact that our son likes books but is picky and certainly has his favorite books. Having said that; All Through My Town by Jean Reidy has been his go-to book ever since he picked it up. Continue reading All Through My Town is the go-to children’s book in the house now
Ringling Bros: Dragons, a boy’s first trip to the circus
We took 3YO Mojo to see the Ringling Bros Barnum & Bailey Circus last week. As with most 3YO little people he was excited, full of questions and wanted to eat everything in sight. He was especially fond of the ‘tiger ice cream’, that’s what he called the icy freeze that was in his elephant souvenir cup. Continue reading Ringling Bros: Dragons, a boy’s first trip to the circus
Naptime DIY-What to do with old cans of paint
I needed a little polyurethane for a project. Any good DIY-er buys in bulk, so I didn’t have a quart of poly, I had a gallon; even though I only needed a little bit when I purchased it originally. When picking up my gallon of polyurethane I noticed it was heavier and less fluid than when I last used it. This was not a good sign. Continue reading Naptime DIY-What to do with old cans of paint
Free fun for the fam-Giant Slayer Day at Mall of Georgia, Saturday, 2/23

It all revolves around the new Bryan Singer movie, Jack The Giant Slayer and takes place at Mall of Georgia from 1-3 on 2/23. Continue reading Free fun for the fam-Giant Slayer Day at Mall of Georgia, Saturday, 2/23
The Danger Girl/G.I. Joe crossover is simple, OK comic middle ground
Back in the day I used to read Danger Girl, when it came out. It was one of those comics that issued an issue every month or so, semi interesting bad guys and half naked women on every page. Don’t get me wrong, I do love beautiful women, but there is just something about Danger Girl that reminds me of those lyrics from Barenaked Ladies. Continue reading The Danger Girl/G.I. Joe crossover is simple, OK comic middle ground
The groundhog was wrong, Sears and #GrillingIsHappiness is now
The calendar says February, but in my dinner mind’s eye it’s April and I’m grilling out 2 or 3 nights a week. If I were a true grill man then I would do it every month of the year, I realize that. Grill 12 months a year or the fair weather grill man like me, Sears has you covered with #GrillingIsHappiness sale. Continue reading The groundhog was wrong, Sears and #GrillingIsHappiness is now
The Sears ‘All things Baby’ sale is a great primer for parents to be
When I have a spare moment (rarely) I think back to when I had free time (before children). The needless books we purchased provided us with thousands of tips we’ve since forgotten, paranoid thoughts we didn’t listen to (thankfully) and a litany of things we’d need for the baby. Currently Sears is having the ‘All Things Baby’ sale. It’s a simple title with samples of everything you’ll need at some point during your time as a parent to small people.
