How many questions does a toddler ask in one day?

Why are stay at home parents so exhausted at the end of the day?   I read a sarcastic article that said that parents are tired because of all the questions they answer during a given day.  I put forth  the question of how many questions does a toddler  ask by marking down each time our 3.5 year old asked me a question.  Just for the sake of making it fun I also wrote down the questions, hilarity ensues.   Continue reading How many questions does a toddler ask in one day?

The Soul of Anime by Ian Condry is a must read for 2 niche groups

My title sounds like a slam, but I don’t mean for it that way.  The Soul of Anime:  Collaborative Creativity and Japan’s Media Success Story is a fascinating read about the culture of anime and how it came to flourish in Japan.  Thus it may come as no surprise that people who like anime or Japanese culture will love this book. G.I. Joe: Cobra-Oktober Guard is enjoyable noir Spy

This month is turning into all Joe all the time.  What with the movie (a sequel has already been green lit!) and me reading G.I. Joe: Cobra-Oktober Guard I’m all but casting my left hand into a kung fu grip.  Oktober Guard is a different kind of Joe graphic novel, which is a great thing, especially after my last experience. 4 disgusting things I do because I’m a Dad

Stay at home dads are just like stay at home moms for the most part.   Granted our child running  into my groin* would hurt much worse than him doing the same thing to his mom, but parenting wise, we’re all on the same field.  A nice post last week highlighted 5 disgusting things that moms do.  Any parent can identify with them, but I wanted to add perspective from this side of the chromosome.  Continue reading 4 disgusting things I do because I’m a Dad

Little Pim foreign language DVD giveaway

Recently we had the chance to review the Little Pim Spanish play DVD.  It’s teaches children words in Spanish that revolve around play and our children love it.  3YO Mojo calls it the ‘Panda movie’ and yells to see it.  The fact that it’s educational is gravy and makes me feel like superdad with my child yelling at me to learn.  Continue reading Little Pim foreign language DVD giveaway

G.I. Joe: Retaliation review, redemption for the franchise

G.I. Joe: Retaliation was supposed to be released in the summer of 2012.  It was delayed; people blamed Channing Tatum, the competition it was up against or the filming of the 3D.  G.I Joe: Retaliation is fast cutting action that seems like a cousin to the action films of the late 80’s.  There are some laugh out loud funny one liners; the plot moves fast, there are dozens of ninjas, The Rock and Bruce Willis. Continue reading G.I. Joe: Retaliation review, redemption for the franchise

Test driving the new BMW Maclaren Buggy

An umbrella stroller is so called that because it can fold up neatly and be put away in your car without much fuss.   Perhaps yours is difficult to fold, frustrating to push or seemingly has a mind on its own with a desire to pinch your fingers.  With that as my baseline experience with those types of strollers I am reviewing the new BMW Maclaren Buggy. Continue reading Test driving the new BMW Maclaren Buggy

I shop at a place that sells tools to socks, #MoreAtSears #Ad

I’m the stay at home parent in our family.  Sometimes during the week a nice leisurely errand is welcome.  Those days are a blessing because more often than not I have to get what’s needed and move on before someone needs to nap, poop or get home before Curious George comes on.  Factor in that the internet can help shoppers and #MoreAtSears can make things jump like a rabbit. Continue reading I shop at a place that sells tools to socks, #MoreAtSears #Ad
