Summer 2014 brings the biggest expansion in the history of Six Flags Over Georgia to the theme park. Hurricane Harbor offers over 7 acres of new water rides that can provide parents a needed break in these final weeks of summer. In total Hurricane Harbor has three new attractions and one very large renamed one, Paradise Island that was simple annexed into that area.

If you’re a parent think of Christmas morning or some other time when you child receives gifts that might require big boxes. After they rip the present open, yell at the gift and then play with it, what do they do? They play with the box. The bigger the box the better. If they can sit in the box or roll their toy cars through that’s awesome too. Think Outside the Box is the new exhibit at Children’s Museum of Atlanta and is boxes, boxes and more.

We love our garden, even though we don’t know everything about it and often lose more than half of our tomatoes, we love it. There are also blueberries, raspberries and a couple other edibles in there, but their loss is usually greater than 50%. Every city has its peaks and valleys. One of the peaks of living near Atlanta is being so close to Georgia Aquarium. We have annual passes there and visit at least once a month. I also worked at the world’s largest theme park (Walt Disney World) for a couple of years and know a thing or two about getting the most out of a visit to an attraction. It’s a cliché to say that Cancer sucks, but it does. It’s the world’s worst night club with the DJ only having one song, it’s one you don’t like and it’s being repeated all night. That song is a Cancer cell, a rogue cell that keeps cloning, over and over. If it spreads, or metastasizes then it’s going to other organs and will cause real damage, in many cases terminal. St. Baldrick’s is happening soon, it’s a fundraiser to raise money for children’s Cancer-can you help?
