Hey Dads-The Atlanta Baby & Child Expo is this weekend

Everybody in the Mojo house is excited as we’re expecting our second child in October.  Just because we run a parenting blog don’t think that we know everything about being a dad, much less being a father to an infant.  Infancy was more than a year ago and I have trouble remembering what we saw on television last night.  I think it was Bait Car, but can’t be too sure. Mrs. Butterworth’s Family Breakfast, 3/27 at Piedmont Park

Dads love free.  Dads love family.  Dads love pancakes and waffles.  Combine all of these things plus the iconic Mrs. Butterworth and you have a fabulous event happening on March 27.  Mrs. Butterworth’s Family Breakfast Ball is this Sunday, March 27 from 9:30-12 p.m. at Piedmont Parks Magnolia Hall Lawn.  It’s a free event that’s designed to celebrate spring and show off Mrs. Butterworth’s new limited-edition spring time bottles.  Who knew she had a change of clothes? Big Book Bargains in the Atlanta Burbs

I love books.  Because of that it’s not too surprising that Baby Mojo loves books.  At bedtime either mom or I will read a book to him, then leave his bed light on while he sits in his crib and reads himself to sleep.  When we go into to change his diaper later in the night it looks like the Book Town mafia shot down our son with an outline of cardboard children’s books. Sometimes we stumble across a story so ridiculous that we hope its content and motivation was typed by a room full of monkeys.  Alas, such a story popped up on The AJC about Georgia Senate President Tommie Williams who is proposing that middle school students in Georgia receive an iPad, in lieu of text books. Daddy Mojo sees a UFO

The other night my wife and I were watching Close Encounters of the Third Kind.  Aside from the clothing and cars, that movie has aged very well.  When those little spaceships were zipping around Devils Tower my wife said to me, “Do you remember when we saw that UFO?”
