SparkGift, fractional share investing-great for kids, really

We were compensated for this post. All thoughts are our own. If you’ve ever attended one of our child’s birthday parties thank you. Thank you for your generosity, for the remote control toy that broke the next day, the Sesame Street toy that was just a bit too young and that thing that they said they’d play with, but never saw the light of day again. SparkGift is the gift that long-term planning parents need to get on board with for many reasons. Call it a legacy, retirement, lesson in investing or whatever you’d like, but SparkGift is a way to give what people what they need-and will one day, want-and need.

I never really learned about investing until I was in my mid 20’s. While I’m glad that I learned those lessons I missed out on 25+ years of massive compounded interest that would have multiplied like bunnies by the time I’m ready to retire.

SparkGift is a way for people to give stocks and index funds as gifts. Between those options you’ve got more than 6,000 choices to invest in the commonly mentioned stocks like Apple, Netflix or the index funds that group together areas of interest or size.

Rent LEGO sets from Pley-worry free about lost bricks

The yin yang of LEGO is that they are awesome. Literally everything is awesome when you’re building and playing with LEGO. The yang is that if you lose a piece to one of the set you risk not having it stay together. The sibling that intentionally hides a piece or two so that the older one can’t finish it, the dog that tasted spaghetti sauce or the sofa that ‘eats’ them-there is a reason the small pieces disappear. Pley is a company that rents LEGO sets. If you lose a piece, no problem, just let them know and you won’t be charged for it.

Kohl’s and Father’s Day is a low stress option for dad #ad

We were compensated for this post.  All thoughts are our own. I hadn’t seen my next door neighbor for months and the place that I run into him is Kohl’s. It’s not that Kohl’s serves bacon when you enter or has secret places for guys to hide when their better halves are shopping. If you go to the store it’s conveniently laid out, is all on one level and has clearance racks (for the frugal minded dads) out the wazoo, just in time for Father’s Day.

Merry Christmas: 1 year Netflix streaming giveaway #StreamTeam

We’ve been a streaming only household for two years.  It is awesome and we have never looked back.  Not only have we saved money we have altered the way that we watch television.  Instead of just sitting down and flipping the remote, we now search and turn the TV off if nothing interests us.  Netflix has certainly been a part of that.  We’ve discovered dozens of new shows and our children only know that as the way to get entertainment on television.  This giveaway for a year membership to Netflix is worth $107 and will literally entertain you for 365 days.

Sol Republic Tracks Air giveaway #Bpopevents

Ode to the day when I was happy to have my first pair if of headphones.  They had padding that was 2” thick, a cord that was as thick as the antennae on my router and fully locked out the world.  Those headphones were even hand me downs from my sister.  It’s a different ballgame now with the Sol Republic Tracks Air Wireless Bluetooth headphones and we’re pumped to be giving away a pair of these state of the art devices as part of #Bpopevents.

This is a sponsored post.  I’m a Shop Your Way blogger, all thoughts are our own.  Max was almost a victim of over exposure in the 80’s.  It was grody to the max, excellent to the max, Max Headroom and then the culture couldn’t tolerate it any more.   Max went away for a couple years, but now it’s back with a purpose that can benefit us all, saving money.  It’s Shop Your way Max a free online shopping program that has perks and points whenever you shop at Sears or Kmart.
