I’m learning to love Adventure Time. Season 4 on DVD got me interested and now I’ve started to search it out online and on Roku also. The downside to watching it solely on your television streaming device is that they’ve only added the first two seasons. Adventure Time is in its sixth season now, that’s lots of silliness and Frost & Fire that you’re missing. Adventure Time: Frost & Fire focus in all on Flame Princess and Ice King.

We also re-discovered some great movies from back in the day, a couple more recent releases and one that the wife really loves.

Since 2002 she’s been recording acoustic guitar children’s music to the delight of preschoolers, young children and adults everywhere. To be a fan of children’s music and not like Laurie Berkner is to say that you like rap, but don’t like Run DMC. She’s the blueprint of kindie for a reason and The Ultimate Luarie Berkner Band Collection is packed with 22 songs that prove that.

Cartoon Network has so many shows that hit ages 6 and up. The leading edge and most popular show is Adventure Time. Our favorite show in their lineup is Regular Show. It’s as manic, strange and creative, but is grounded in reality just a little bit. Really, it’s the story of Mordecai a blue jay, Rigby a raccoon who take care of the park with their friends who are even stranger, so take ‘grounded in reality’ with a grain of salt. It happens on Earth, but each episode balances friendship, alternate realities, work and more in a creative mash-up that makes you laugh, even if you’re (much) older than their intended demographic.

Chuck is back with a new DVD. This is Chuck & Friends, the kid friendly truck with his worker friends and a Tonka by another name to parents of a certain age. The Adventures of Chuck & Friends: Rev Your Engines has 10 episodes and a bonus sing-along. Our kids are 5 and 3 and this is the sweet spot for the show.
