I’m a gamer, but not a gamer per se. I like to play video games, but aren’t very good at the newer ones. However, I grew up with the classic video games; they’ll always have a place in my heart and I could still probably beat 75% of people reading this on Robotron. It’s because of my staunch old-school settings that I was surprised that I enjoyed reading Guinness World Records 2015 Gamer’s Edition.

Planet Gigantic is a four issue mini-series from Action Lab Entertainment. It’s the story of Valentina and Yuri, siblings who were exploring space with their mother. The two have crashed landed on a strange planet and are meeting all manner of strange creatures and people they should, or shouldn’t trust. In the latest issue Yuri is separated from his sister and in the den of a giant creature who they thought was bad, but just might be good. Meanwhile Valentina and Lyana are locked in combat with a massive centipede. If that seems like a lot to fit into a comic remind yourself that this is an all age comic that anyone can read and it’s all the more amazing.

I partnered and was compensated by Life of Dad, LLC and TuneIn for this promotion. If you’re really into your college football location shouldn’t matter. Really what kind of fan are you that you don’t put life on hold in the fall months so that you can tailgate at your alma mater? Well, some of my friends do put August through December on hold so that they can at least hear the college football games. A much easier solution is the TuneIn app. With this simple app, that is free, you can listen to football and basketball coverage of 85 teams.

Ode to the day when I was happy to have my first pair if of headphones. They had padding that was 2” thick, a cord that was as thick as the antennae on my router and fully locked out the world. Those headphones were even hand me downs from my sister. It’s a different ballgame now with the Sol Republic Tracks Air Wireless Bluetooth headphones and we’re pumped to be giving away a pair of these state of the art devices as part of #Bpopevents.

Television shows aren’t supposed to get this good as they continue on. Breaking Bad was the one that continually got better and better, with little to no ebb in quality. Game of Thrones is like that too, it keeps getting better and better. Game of Thrones Season 3 is out on Blu-ray and is epic in scale, production and expectations.

If you’ve seen any of the classic episodes of the Batman TV series you know that it has a certain feel to it. The dialogue is campy, the action is stilted when compared to today’s series and Batman has a much more casual feel to him than today’s superhero. Batman ’66 is just like the show. At times it looks like the comic is drawn exactly from old episodes. They’re not mind you, all of the Batman ’66 comics are original, but do feature some of the villains who never made the cut to modern times, like King Tut.
