Our previous house was built around 1910. It had heart of pine wood throughout, original windows and spaces where the floor and walls weren’t joined tightly. You may have heard about the really sweet story from Ohio this past week. An elderly couple, married for 65 years died within 11 hours of each other. Harold Knapke was 91 and his wife, Ruth was 89. They raised six children and they saw their closeness in passing as ‘a final act of love’.
