For storage or showing off, PrimeTime Lockers from GarageWorks has game #Ad

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Gladiator® GarageWorks for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Gladiator® GarageWorks and their PrimeTime Lockers are lockers, but they’re so much nicer than those that I remember from when I went to school.  Granted I was a skinny teen then, but I think it’s much more than age.  These are cool lockers.  I see GarageWorks in the title and I think that this locker is too nice for our garage in its current condition.  I either need to clean the garage or keep our UGA PrimeTime Locker in the office.

Where Did You Go, Charlie Brown? is an inspiring book for PRE-K to 3

What immediately struck me about Where Did You Go, Charlie Brown? is that the author is listed at Charles Schulz on the cover.  This must be a book from the Peanuts vault because he died a while ago, I thought.   Once you open the book you see that this book was written by Diane Lindsey Reeves and Cheryl Shaw Barnes, while the illustrations were done by Tom Brannon.  This book has the soul of Peanuts with an educational story that small children can understand and has beautiful, art that looks exactly like the preview for the movie.

SpongeBob Comics is the all ages bridge to life under the sea

SpongeBob Comics is a great all ages comic for a couple of reasons.  In this case take all ages with a grain of salt and compare it to the cartoon.  We have a three year old, he’s too young for the comic and the television show.  Our five year old has seen the show a couple times with his cousins, but it’s not something that we’d seek out for him to watch by himself.  But because he likes the character, SpongeBob, this comic book is a great meeting point for him.

Terrible Lizard #3, Wrex in effect, in the city-with friends

Terrible Lizard is a 4 issue mini-series from Oni Press about a teenage girl Jessica Anders and her adopted T.  Rex.  Because of an accident in the laboratory, Jessica and Wrex have a bond that makes them understand each other very well.  When #2 ended we saw the military closing in on Wrex just after his battle with a giant ape.  This is an all ages comic that doesn’t skimp on the action and succeeds on another level too.

Star Wars Marvel Yrs Omnibus HC Vol. 01  This is the old school, from 1977 Star Wars comic book that Marvel published.  If we let our children read our old copies from back in the day, then it would be all age comic fun.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles New Animated Adventures #19

Terrible Lizard #3 (of 5)

Children’s music and the Christmas music test

When we first thought about children’s music it was a pan flute performed by dinosaurs with sing-songy lyrics about sharing.  Certainly some children’s music gleefully and willingly falls into that description.  However, there are many more choices than those that you just thought of.  Some children’s music pass the Christmas music test and some don’t.   Here’s what you need to pay attention to and why the Christmas music test might apply to you.

The Pop Ups pass the Christmas music test with flying colors

Sick Simon captures the essence of sick-and it’s fabulous

Dan Krall appeared on our radar a couple years ago with Oh, Nuts!, the story about squirrels competing for attention in a metropolitan zoo.  His next book, The Great Lollipop Caper about a lollipop trying to become as popular to adults as a caper was one of our favorite books of 2013.  We still read that book a couple times a week to our children and laugh.  Sick Simon is his latest and continues his streak of books that are as enjoyable for the parents to read as it is for the children to read or look at.
