Children are dirty, filthy little people that haven’t learned to avoid messes. Is it that they intentionally seek out messy situations or are they simply playing with reckless abandon and we adults are the ones who need to get dirtier? A valid argument could be made for either case. Either way if you have children they’ll have laundry that gets stained with all manner of grass, dirt, gunk or other stuff. If you have boys their clothing will get stained beyond recognition in their attempt to change the original color from whatever to ‘dirt’. The new ALDI extensive beer selection and our homemade BBQ recipe #ad

We were compensated for this post. Having said that, we love to grill out and we really like beer, thus all thoughts are our own. I am a kitchen sink cooker. By that I mean I use rough estimates when cooking and love to experiment with new tastes. I like our go-to BBQ chicken recipe, but am always on the hunt for something new. With a little tweaking I created a groovy new BBQ chicken recipe, plus I picked up some specialty beer from ALDI and got cooking.

First off, we really do shop at ALDI. Every week it’s the place where we get our staple items. Over the course of two plus years it’s saved us just over $2,500. Really, I just checked with my wife who keeps the books for the family-that is how much we’ve saved. “Wow, that grocery bill sure was high”, she said after we spent $110 at another place when we were on vacation the other week. Secure in the fact that I’ve been saving the family money, I could proceed to create a new BBQ flavor for me on the grill.

Klondike Kandy Bar, the nexus of ice cream and candy #IC #AD

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Klondike. I received free product coupons to facilitate my review as well as compensation for my participation. The dog days of summer are a cruel thing indeed. It’s the stuffy, heat blanket of summer that covers you when all you want to do is dig into something cold. Using a spoon to dig into your ice cream is so 2005 and not having candy bars mixed with your ice cream has always been inexcusable. Klondike has solved this issue by having a magical infusion of the candy bars that we know and love, with the convenient packaging that we’re already eating.

Dads clean up, but just in case Merry Maids can too #ad

In our house we do a fair job of splitting the cleaning duties. Overall, I do most of the cleaning, but that’s just because I’m the stay at home parent. Most is relative because there are still many periods when my wife starts cleaning something or asks me to get on it. Kohl’s and Father’s Day is a low stress option for dad #ad

It’s not that Kohl’s serves bacon when you enter or has secret places for guys to hide when their better halves are shopping. If you go to the store it’s conveniently laid out, is all on one level and has clearance racks (for the frugal minded dads) out the wazoo, just in time for Father’s Day.
