The Smurfs 2 is smurftastic fun for the demographic it’s aiming for

The Smurfs 2 is the sequel to The Smurfs from 2011.  Smurfs, if you’re from Belgium or didn’t know, are small blue creatures that are generally happy, sing lots and use ‘smurf’ as an adjective for just about everything.  It’s a live action movie with Smurfs running around Paris looking for Gargamel and his two gray helper pseudo smurfs called ‘the naughties’. Backyard Safari review and giveaway-kids love it

Our oldest son is about to turn 4 and loves exploring.  He’s curious about the bugs, crawling things and flying winged insects that he sees in the garden.  He calls all of them bees, except for the butterflies and follows them as if he’s Marlin Perkins tracking something in the African savannah.   We thought that he would like his gear from Backyard Safari and proved wrong.  He went mental, absolutely loved all of the accessories, took them to bed with him, woke up the next morning and started asking when he could go outside. 2 boys and a dad get a #PersonalFeast with @EatLiquidGold #shop #cbias

Because I do all of the shopping for the family I participated in this sponsored post for Collective Bias®.  Making dinner for two hungry, growing boys who may, or may not eat anything that I cook is like playing a carnival game.  Factor in that my wife and I have to eat also and the meals get thrown a curve ball. Velveeta Skillet Singles was a pinch hitter for our meal and knocked our #PersonalFeast out of the park. Continue reading 2 boys and a dad get a #PersonalFeast with @EatLiquidGold #shop #cbias

WWE Champion John Cena grants a wish on the Australian tour

I understand how and why people like the sports or entertainment that they do.  It’s what they enjoy and takes them to a place where they can yell, hoot, be quiet or however it is they enjoy themselves.  Professional athletes are not role models-they play sports; but are all too often confused for role models by the media or their younger fans.  WWE Champion John Cena goes against the grain and manages to be both a role model and an athlete. Too Much Coffee Man Favorites #3 is gleefully manic

Somewhere aligned with the single pane of The Far Side and the four panes of Life in Hell sits Too Much Coffee Man.  The nonlinear humor in Too Much Coffee Man is similar to Far Side, yet it has the same recurring characters, much like Life in Hell.  Is Too Much Coffee Man funny?  You bet, it was one of the first independent comics I purchased in the early 2000’s and still packs buckets of wit with sublime, detailed illustrations. Our family lessons learned between the first and second child

Our youngest will turn 2 years old in a couple of months.  The cliché that the time flies by is every so true.  You can’t believe they were ever that small and so forth.  The bending of time that happens after the second child is born is quick, you blink and suddenly they’re 2 years old.  If I could talk to myself a couple of months before our second child arrived here is a list of things that I would suggest.
