Rhymoceros, as cute as it sounds for toddlers learning words

Rhymoceros is a thick book.  It’s a big board book with 16 images of a rhinoceros. To be clear, it’s the same 16 pictures of the rhinoceros doing some very silly things. In some he’s holding a balloon while on the page directly opposite that he’s standing in front of the moon. This is a rhyming book for the small ones that is sweet, creative and just slightly goofy.

Our Oncologist, paranoid thoughts and the baby store

It was our first trip to the Oncologist since a friend of ours died of brain cancer. Cancer is a weird thing and it’s important not to let it twist your thoughts. The (very tiny) paranoid area of my brain would freak out when I had a headache just after his death.  No, it’s just a headache and that’s why you go to the doctor to confirm that everything is OK. This was our almost two year appointment after being diagnosed with melanoma.

Also of note is Wallace and Gromit: Comic Strips Collection Volume 3.  We’re taking a look at this now and will review it tomorrow.  The humor translates to a three-panel strip very well for our favorite cheese loving dog and his aloof master.

Naptime DIY: Remove excess molding

Molding is normally a blessing. It can accentuate rooms of any size and provide depth and elegance.  Our house however, has too much molding. It has so many angles that M.C. Escher would’ve called it confusing.  We have molding around the molding that’s goes around our windows.  There is even molding around the light switches. Our project today is to remove the molding that goes past the window area.
