New All Age Comics for Wednesday, May 6, 2015

It’s new all age comics day again and it looks like folks are still reeling from Free Comic Book Day. Things are a little skinny, but there are still some great all age comics, that are brand new-in store this week. Of note this week to us is Regular Show #23. This comic is so bizarre at first, but then really funny. That was our reaction to the television show too, now we get both of them and they’re fabulous.

It’s also a great week for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who have three new releases and the new, revamped Walt Disney Comics on IDW. This week Donald Duck returns with all new adventures and Uncle Srooge #2 hits shelves also. These comics are thick, feature all new stories and have classic artwork.

Strep, it’s not just for throats anymore

Charlie’s not much of a talker. He rambles on endlessly, but the ratio of intelligible words to cute children mutterings is far tilted in the former. When he kept saying ‘bum hurts’ we paid it a little attention, but didn’t panic. On the upside, that is awesome that our child is speaking in British slang. However, if he says that he wants to wear his fanny pack then we’ll stop his lessons there. Sure enough, his bottom was red, it looked like a little diaper rash, but we’d definitely seen worse.

Watch Star Wars Rebels online for free #StarWarsDay

Before seeing it, skeptical I was about Star Wars Rebels. My oldest and I saw the first episode in the theater we did. Enjoyable beyond its years and classic in a new was it was. Yoda hasn’t made his appearance yet in the recently concluded first season of Star Wars Rebels, but now you can catch all of the episodes, for free-over at StarWars.com.

As the kids and I were playing on the driveway I was thinking to myself how lucky I am. It’s a great life, the kids are healthy and nobody has had an accident in a really long time. Parenting tip: A parent should be careful about being thankful for the lapse in time between accidents.

What the kids are watching on Netflix #StreamTeam

We’re part of the StreamTeam with Netflix and were compensated for this post. All thought are our own. It’s almost the end of the school year and the kids are giddy with anticipation of spending more time at home. The summer’s television schedule sometimes starts out low and ramps up towards the end. Here are the all age comics for Free Comic Book Day

Free Comic Book Day happens the first Saturday in May. It’s a chance when all of the comic publishers print new stories and put them in a special free book. In some cases they’ll publish snippets of old stories, regardless, Free Comic Book Day is awesome and a great chance to find new books and introduce your children to all age comics to help with the lifelong habit of reading.

Some comic book stores will have a limit or certain books will have a limited quantity. For example our local store lets you get five comics. Some of the comics will still be in stock the next day because there are more of them available. This guide will show you all of the all age comics, there are many others that are geared to teens or mature audiences.
