Batman ’66 #17 is campy fun that kids will like

If you’ve seen any of the classic episodes of the Batman TV series you know that it has a certain feel to it. The dialogue is campy, the action is stilted when compared to today’s series and Batman has a much more casual feel to him than today’s superhero. Batman ’66 is just like the show. At times it looks like the comic is drawn exactly from old episodes. They’re not mind you, all of the Batman ’66 comics are original, but do feature some of the villains who never made the cut to modern times, like King Tut.

True Detective Blu-ray DVD giveaway #Bpopevents

True Detective was one of those shows that built up an audience because of its craft and presentation. It was all the more remarkable that it did this in 8 episodes. The atmospheric, dark drama put together a taut story with high point performances by the two leads, Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey. Looney Tunes #222 is classic, true to form as you remember

As with The Simpsons, in our quest to find great all age comic books we sometimes look over the obvious. Back in the day I purchased Looney Tunes #1 and while the layout has changed a bit the humor and all age appropriateness is still spot on. It’s rated E for everyone and this is a classic for the parents or a way to teach younger readers about how it’s done.
