Lloyd and The Bear is a perfect all ages comic book

I gave our 4 YO son an ‘all ages’ comic the other day.  While the characters were appropriate for any age, they used phrases like “shut up”, “stupid” or “idiot”.  Kudos to my wife for catching that.  What a relief Llyod and The Bear is, it truly is an all ages comic book that is funny, sharply drawn and creative- everything you’re looking for in a comic book that is OK for young children.

Top takeaways from attending the Type A Parent Conference

I attended the Type A Parent Conference last week.  In the past I’ve attended a handful of social media conferences.  They’re a balance of freebies, networking and seminars where you probably won’t learn anything.  At one such conference I asked someone, “what’s the best conference you’ve been to?”  They replied Type A Parent Conference because it helped get them to the next level.  Fast forward a couple of years and I know why they said what they did.

At a LeapFrog LeapReader parent party all the kids win #Ad

I was given the chance to host a LeapFrog LeapReader, “Ready, Set, Read & Write Party.  As the host of the party I was provided with some product and the responsibility of being the ringleader for a group of 4 year olds.  That job was made much easier because the LeapReader is very intuitive for children ages 4 and up to use almost immediately.
