When should your kids meet Star Wars?
For record, I presume that all children at some point in time will be introduced to Star Wars. Since I was a kid the Star Wars universe has grown a bit. It’s much more than movies, now it’s toys, books (comics!), an eventual theme park and of course the movies. We’re glad that Disney purchased them because it will give the brand a fresh start-and Disney does things on a first class scale. Continue reading When should your kids meet Star Wars?
Psychobaby-truly unique kid’s clothing, review and giveaway
If you’ve seen a kid wearing something unique, hipster or rock and roll it was probably purchased at Psychobaby. They’ve got one of the largest selections we’ve seen of good rock and roll baby clothing that we’ve seen. Of course they have the relative music staples, but they also have AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, KISS and The Ramones. For my wife and I The Ramones have always provided a bonding moment for us. In their heart of hearts, every cyclist thinks about that movie scene once or twice when they’re on the trial. Continue reading The Action Shot Video Camera is an affordable POV device
Streaming movies on Vudu is not magic, but it sure makes viewing easy
Streaming movies sounds so hip and modern. If that were the case then I would be akin to a cartoon caveman, still moving his car around with his feet. Our computer is not hooked up to the TV (yet….) and until recently streaming movies sounded like something more George Jetson than Fred Flintstone. Continue reading Streaming movies on Vudu is not magic, but it sure makes viewing easy
Sonic Youth of my Loins II: With a Chorus
When Toddler Mojo was just crawling I wrote a post that tried to explain the noises coming from him. Now that More Mojo has joined the family the noises are akin to those from two years ago, but in stereo. Continue reading Sonic Youth of my Loins II: With a Chorus
Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi Volume 1 review
Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi, Volume 1 collects the five issue mini-series and takes place 25,000 years before the Jedi that we’ve seen in the movies. Think of it as a world where the Force and Jedi’s are known, but it’s a more innocent place where the players are still figuring things out. Continue reading Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi Volume 1 review
Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM is graceful, dangerous fun
The genius of Peter Sellers playing Inspector Clouseau was that the actor was indeed quite intelligent; but the character was an inept, bumbling police officer. My wife summed up what was so amazing about TOTEM, the current Cirque show, in a way that complimented the clowns and made me think of Sellers. Continue reading Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM is graceful, dangerous fun
