ProFlowers is your skeleton key towards gift giving

Psst, we received some flowers in exchange for this post.  All thoughts are our own and we really do like making our spouse happy, ergo.. Hey look, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and you’re in a jam.  No gift, no idea and no time.  Except in our case it was our wife’s birthday.  She says she doesn’t like flowers, but they always work and are always appreciated, aren’t they? ProFlowers can hook you up, either on their app, over the phone or on the web.

The Aviators never takes flight, WWI true story with pigeons

The Aviators is based on a true story about pigeons in World War I.  I assume that the true story was from the perspective of humans and that they made the movie from the pigeon’s perspective, because it would be entertaining for children.  If that were the case then this could’ve been it, but this version of The Aviators feels like a TV movie that stretches out to a very long 73 minutes.

Shinobi: Ninja Warrior Princess #6 delivers the action and more

I had a 9 year old reviewer that does some work for us look at Shinobi: Ninja Warrior Princess #1 when it first came out in the late summer.  She was underwhelmed, said that it needed more action and then mumbled something about not liking ninjas.  Our reviewer needs to take a look at the final issue in this limited series because it’s loaded with action, has lots of female heroes, a monster or two and some ninjas.  She’ll just have to deal with the ninjas.

Kiditec is the best building block toy you’ve never heard of

We received a copy of the toy for review.  All thoughts are our own and not something we just put together…..  Just what parent’s need, another building block toy.  But wait, Kiditec is different and actually fills a void.  Imagine a durable, building block toy that your child can construct with plastic screws and a big plastic screwdriver.  This toy has wheels, can move and be built upon any number of ways.  Its only limit are the number of pieces you have and your child’s imagination.  That is Kiditec.

Penguins of Madagascar #3, a solid all age comic with grins and laughs

Penguins of Madagascar #3 is what I wanted the mini-series to be.  Unlike the second issue which seemed to open up an ongoing story, the third issue is simply pure, happy penguin, Afro Circus fun that puts everything in a bow at the end of the issue.

The Ultimate Laurie Berkner Band Collection, happy, kindie 101

If you do a search for top kindie artists Laurie Berkner is in any top 10 list.  Since 2002 she’s been recording acoustic guitar children’s music to the delight of preschoolers, young children and adults everywhere.  To be a fan of children’s music and not like Laurie Berkner is to say that you like rap, but don’t like Run DMC.  She’s the blueprint of kindie for a reason and The Ultimate Luarie Berkner Band Collection is packed with 22 songs that prove that.

How Abby lost a leg, but gained a life and made ours better

I’m thinking about a teenager who I’ve never met.  I don’t know anything about them other than the fact that they were almost hit by a car about 12 years ago.  Were it not for a flat coat retriever and her love of children that car would’ve hit that child.  It’s a dog story so unbelievable I wouldn’t give it a second glance, had we not lived with the dog for 12 years.
